About Our Chickpeas Curry

Finding a satisfying meatless meal in small-town eastern Manitoba is not always easy, so we keep Chickpeas Curry on the board year round. Chickpeas are simmered in a tomato and onion base with ginger, garlic and ground spice until the gravy thickens and clings to every one of them.

How We Build the Gravy

Onion and tomato are cooked down first, the spices go in to bloom, then the chickpeas simmer long enough to take on the flavour instead of sitting in it. Medium heat by default — let your server know if you want it milder and the kitchen will adjust.
